The pension fund member and their spouse or domestic partner are permitted to make an
agreement to divide pension rights.
Those who intend to make an agreement to divide pension rights should contact the pension fund to which either party makes payments, and that pension fund will provide guidance and information about the application process. An agreement on the divide of the pensions rights must be made before the receivement of the pension payments begins and before the age of 65 of the persons making the agreement.
